Good Friday Talk based on Luke
This talk points out that Jesus' death appears unfair, however he is choosing to die to take God’s anger at our sin and open the way to the Father.
The aim of this talk is for the story of Christ’s trial, crucifixion and death to prompt a response of awe and thankfulness in all of us.
An Easter talk
The angel reminded the women at the empty tomb that Jesus had said that he would be crucified and then 3 days later, rise again. He had kept his promise
This talk prompts the children to realise that if Jesus had kept this most important promise, then all of his others will certainly be kept.
Luke 24:12 & John 20:26-28
This assembly aims to show pupils that Jesus has risen from the dead and that at Easter we celebrate the new life he had given us.
This assembly opens with a neat magis trick to illustrate that even though we see the same thing, we might react differently. It shows how the different people present at Jesus' death reacted and what they thought of Jesus. It asks the pupils to think about who they think Jesus is.
This assembly aims to show children what love is, and that Jesus loved us so much that he gave up His life to give life to those who follow Him.
