A script of a zoom bake along event
We offer this script for those churches who want to run their own Easter Bake-along instead of watching ours. To do so, you will need a baker and a presenter. With a few rehearsals, you could run this as a live Zoom event, baking, speaking and interacting with the families participating. This is the ideal, since interaction engages children.
Gather the family for a 25-minute online adventure! Aimed at families with 8-12 year olds, but enough to keep toddlers and teens engaged. Enjoy this series of challenges that will have you laughing, problem-solving, and working together. No prior biblical knowledge needed, perfect for sharing with friends and neighbours. Team up with others via Zoom and embark on the journey together, or challenge another family to see who can complete the tasks the fastest.
An Easter weekend resource for families
WEEKEND OF WONDER -This resource aims to encourage families to experience and enjoy the good news of Easter - at home, outdoors and with others - and give them confidence that they can open the Bible together at home.
The activities and conversation starters are designed as a taster to help families see that it is possible to talk about faith as part of everyday life. Perhaps this will be a stepping stone to encourage them to try out more resources.
Churches could use this booklet as the basis for an Easter gift bag for families. The bag could include a copy of the booklet, ingredients for the pizza bread, a luggage label and wool, letters for the hunt and a chocolate egg with ‘He has risen! Luke 24:6’ attached. You could include your own Easter card, with details of the church’s Easter services, or stick your own Easter greeting onto the front cover of the booklet.
A series of 5 Easter lessons
The Wonder of Easter is a series of 5 lessons following Jesus on his journey in Luke’s Gospel. Through these five passages children will discover the story of Jesus' death and resurrection as the most amazing story ever told.
The lessons have been written to dovetail with the Wonder of Easter book of family Bible times, so that families can explore the Easter story at home while their church teaches these key stories:
The return of the King (Luke 19:30, 35-40)
Taken away by guards (Luke 22:47-54)
Saved! Just in time (Luke 23:32-34, 39-43)
Jesus is alive! (Luke 24:36-49)
He’s gone, we’re still happy (Luke 24:50-53)
We’d love to hear back from you. Please help us improve our resources by filling out our short feedback survey.
Based on Luke 24: 36-45
Jesus showed his friends his scars and ate food to prove that it was really him. We can be certain that Jesus rose from the dead.
